Your in love, you live together, he/she wants you to co-sign a loan, for a car, student loan, whatever. Just say no!! Sounds cruel. You love this person. They would never let you down. Hi, Welcome to What You Don't Know About Your Credit Can Hurt You. What you will read in the book and Credit Tip of The Week is the result of over 20 years in the credit and mortgage business. Over the years I've listened to the stories people have told about their credit problems, how they got there and their questions of "how do I get out of the mess". Credit Secrets 2008 is just a few of their stories.
Since 1994 I have been a mortgage loan officer with both banks and mortgage broker companies. In 2004 I became certified as a Credit Report Reviewer to help people better understand their credit reports and how to correct errors on those reports. I am proud to be a part of the Jump Start Program sponsered by the National Endowment for Financial Education. This program puts volunteers into local school systems working with teachers to ensure high school seniors have some exposure to good information before they go forward into the real world of work, credit, savings and investing. With the current financial problems facing this country today and for years to come, we need financial education more than ever before.
